Shanta Babu is a gifted born singer. Unfortunately she could not develop her musical talent according to the potential she possessed. There were many obstacles like social, physical, hereditary, financial, geographical, etc. which stood against her. She needs our support and encouragement so that she will emerge as a well known singer, and live with human dignity. She has one son, Sreekuttan, and her husband. They earn their livelihood doing household works in the neighbourhood. Their make-shift small house is in a jungle terrain where wild animals move around freely, leaving humans in danger. Shanta’s family always lives in fear.
Fr. Basil Punchaputhussery, Fr. Paul Kottackal, T. S. Joseph (director, Nadam Music, Aluva) and Shanty Angamaly (music director) visited Shanta Babu and her son Sreekuttan recently in their make-shift small house.
